Baker Rose Consulting LLP is a specialist development consultancy, founded in 1991, based in London but active throughout the UK.
We concentrate on the complex relationship between property / real estate, the environment, transport, logistics and major infrastructure investments and developments.
The practice has led in developing the thinking and markets for some of the country's most important logistics schemes, such as the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal, London Gateway and Tritax Symmetry's Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange. From site finding, planning needs cases and strategic market reviews, through to commercial negotiations with key stakeholders.
Baker Rose is also actively involved in supporting major recycling businesses in dealing with real estate solutions, including for FCC Environment and Berry Global.
We have extensive experience in dealing with the needs of clients who find their commercial interests affected by major infrastructure projects, including by HS2, Heathrow 3rd Runway, East West Rail, Crossrail, the Northern Line Extension as well as Highway Schemes and now, Hydrogen Pipeline proposals.
We deal with access rights, bridge rights, station and freight terminal development, compulsory purchase and injurious affection claims, as well as negotiating schemes of mitigation.
We act for major residential and commercial developers as well as UK pension and investment funds. We act for commercial and industrial occupiers and operators of major undertakings, including in relocations and acquisitions.
David Baker is also an independent commerical mediator. He provides mediation services for parties we are not advising and David is happy to co-mediate or involve independent experts including barristers, in complex cases.
